Mi piace pensare al lavoro che svolgo come ad una ricerca: sono interessato al modo in cui ogni essere vivente costruisce il proprio universo percettivo, a come successivamente lo interpreta filtrando la percezione attraverso i sensi della propria specie.

Sentiamo e raccogliamo dall’ambiente molto più di quanto la ragione ci suggerisca. L’intento che mi pongo è quindi quello di dipingere cercando di enfatizzare ciò che la mente tende a scartare nel descriverci la realtà: l’energia e il modo in cui fluisce all’interno di un corpo, statico o in movimento.



I like to think about the work I do such as a search: I'm interested in how each living being creates its own universe of perception, how then interprets it by filtering the perception through the senses of the own species.

We can feel and gather from the environment much more than the reason suggest us. So the intention that I pose is to paint trying to emphasize what the mind tends to discard in describing reality: the energy and the way in which flows into a body, moving or static.

I would like that people looks at things I do, my paintings, without too much questioning as to why or about their meaning, or at least that it will do at a later time. I say this because before starting a job, at first I'm not interested its meaning.

Surely it will be inevitable find in those signs the footprints of my biography or the mood of a day, but starting from these considerations it would seem a little how to read a novel for the first time, paying attention only to the syntax. "The Art of War" is the title of an essay, written during the six hundred by Sun-tzu, a general of the Chinese army. This painting comes from a reflection on the ways in wich can be used or expanded the energy, the life force which underlies all human activity.
In the book the general teaches us how a warrior is always at war, because if it is not engaged in a battle, is preparing for it ... And 'as if he was to tell us then that the only real struggle worthy of man is the one with themselves, with their limits. The vision is what lies beyond these limits: the ability to use imagination and life force to go beyond the barrier of the future, where all the possibilities are located, and bring them in the present as an achievement. The character of the framework is fighting, but no enemy is represented on the canvas. In this way, I wanted to put the emphasis on energy that flows within each action, using the movement to disassemble the figure and highlight the varied expressions and the multiplicity of feelings that make up the single gesture. The speed, that gives to the reality a false impression of continuity, is so frozen by highlighting the endless possibilities that we face at all times.
